Orientation sessions can sometimes be dull. But your new employees will appreciate and benefit from a well designed presentation.
Before
I was asked by an HR rep at a construction company to take a look at one of their employee-orientation slides. By her own admission, the slide was “a little dry” and she was looking for a way to make it more engaging.
After
Using the Analyze and Synthesize method, I broke this single slide down into five separate ones, each showing a single idea. The new slides use photographs to illustrate what the presenter would be talking about. And adding a little animation lends visual interest and keeps the audience focused on the message.
