In Toastmasters, we have a thing called Table Topics. Speakers are given a topic and they have to come up with a brief speech about it on the spot. Always on the lookout to make online meetings more interesting, I wanted to find a PowerPoint game where I could click on a box to reveal the question. I couldn’t find exactly what I wanted, so I designed my own game. Since animating the blocks was a bit tricky, rather than create a tutorial on how to do this I decided I’d just give it away instead. One less thing for you to worry about!
The Conversation Starter Game is played in the Presenter View during an in-person or remote presentation. To play, you ask someone to choose a topic, then you click on a box to reveal the question. After a minute, the question fades from view, removing it from play.
You can customize the game with your own topics, questions, colors, typeface, and template. Complete instructions are included in the file.
Cheat Death by PowerPoint at your next in-person or remote presentation by starting a fun conversation with your audience with the Conversation Starter Game! And if you like the game, please let me know in the comments section, below.
